Coming wrath

Punishments for sins committed by God’s children spelled out in Colossians 3:6. Question: will God’s wrath fall on the unbelievers for the sins spelled out below? Though God’s protection was never with them in the first place.

Colossians 3

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:  -kjv

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.  -niv

Therefore, put to death what belongs to your worldly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, God’s wrath comes on the disobedient,  -hcsb

  2. Since I am not a prophet, an angel or a right hand helper of our God Almighty I too do not totally understand 100% of the scriptures. I do know that I have been saved from hell and believe and belong to Christ. The Baptist believe once saved always saved but I say BE CAREFUL to this. Once saved the Holy Spirit helps us NOT to commit these previous type sins again and again. I know that I try to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, do what he did and do not do what he did not do trying not to sin. But I do sin as we all sin after we become a born again Christian. Looks like there is a fine line here. If a human does not believe in Christ and therefore never asked him into their heart the scriptures are very clean…this person after death will spend eternity in hell. The Christian who has asked Christ into their life if they think they can sin and they will not be punished because they have the blood on Christ on their being….I think they have a very good chance of living in hell. If we are true Christians and commit small sins not intending to and afterward begging for forgiveness I believe we or that person is a true Christian and will go to heaven after this death. With Christ the scriptures states there is no small or large sin in the eyes and mind of God. A sin is a sin. Of course God knows our mind and heart. WE MUST strive not to commit any sin and daily ask our Lord & Savior to forgive us of our sin or sins. The Bible does not say that God forgives us his peoples sins 7 times 70…he told US to forgive other people when they hurt or sin against us 7 X 70. In short let us walk with and follow Jesus depending what he is doing. Myself I am staying away from the public, some people who used to be a friend. If they are not Christians Satan will use them to slowly pull us away from God and become like them. On the other hand this can be wrong since it is impossible to witness directly to a person if we are not close to them. There are many ways to witness for Christ by keeping our lips closed. No cussing or foul language. Going to church on a weekly basis and the neighbors knowing you are a church go person. People close to me know I am different. Let our words and actions be know to God…the judge of this entire globe!
